  A very interesting book about friendship and innocence. A little upsetting in parts for younger readers and the character of Tulip reminds me of the awful story of Mary Bell. The Tulip Touch, by Anne Fine, is about a girl called Natalie who starts at a new school after a change in her father’s job causes her family to move.

Not knowing anyone, she becomes intrigued by a girl called Tulip, who is an outcast among the rest of the class/5().

The Tulip Touch didn't share any of the former's problems. It is simply an amazing book that really made me think about some of the friendships I had in high school (I just graduated).

The plot follows Natalie who is the best friend of Tulip. Tulip comes from a totally /5(9). If Tulip skips school and is rude to the Tulip touch book, that's part of her magnetism. If Tulip tells lies to the other girls in school, that only shows how special she is.
